super bowl ads/trailers

Posted by: Sai on: February 2, 2009

Yes, I watched the super bowl. I was rooting for the underdog but it was a good game nonetheless. One other thing I like about the super bowl are the ads/trailers.  There were some very interesting movies I look forward to watching like ‘Angels & Demons’ and ‘Transformers’. yup yup yup… I think I have to see these on the big screen.  As for the ads, there were some funny ones like the Doritos ‘crystal ball’, LMAO, Pepsi’s I’m Good and CareerBuilder’s moose head :)

November is almost over…

Posted by: Sai on: November 29, 2008

I just realized it’s been a month since my last post but November sure felt like it just whizzed by.  My sister-in-law did the turkey for the first time in her life and she did it (with the help of my hubby here). But I said she should be proud since according to my nephew… she does not cook.  After a day of stuffing ourselves with ham and turkey, here comes black Friday which marks the beginning of the Christmas season. I’ve barely recovered from the last holiday and here comes another one. and yes… we ended up shopping on this day as well… standing in line for an hour and this is just from one store. it’s overwhelming. I thought everyone’s hurting, people are losing jobs, but it didn’t stop people from shopping. it’s still all about the material stuff. In 32 days, we’ll be starting another year.

SOS for XY

Posted by: Sai on: October 29, 2008

on my way to work I was listening to KIIS and the host was talking about “41 Ways to Melt a Woman’s Heart.” he didn’t mention all 41 so I got curious and looked it up online. Here’s what I found…

1. Ask her to dance.

2. On windy days, brush wayward strands of hair from her eyes and mouth.

3. When she’s coming down the street, across the room, or up the stairs to meet you, walk towards her as soon as you see her.

4. Kiss her between her shoulder blades when she turns her back to you to go to sleep.

5. Put your arm around her when you introduce her to your friends and family.

6. Grasp her hand when a scantily dressed, beautiful woman walks by.

7. Call her when you’re feeling sad.

8. Kiss her eyelids.

9. Ask to see a picture of her when she was a child.

10. Wash her from head to toe in the shower.

11. If she’s crying on the phone, go over to her place. Immediately.

12. Stand her naked on a sturdy chair and lick between her legs.

13. Occasionally call her by her first and middle names.

14. Buy her your favourite rock album of all time on vinyl.

15. Order coffee for her, remembering exactly how she likes it.

16. Undress her and put her to bed when she falls asleep in the car.

17. Mention your upcoming anniversary before she does.

18. Send her something in the mail. Anything.

19. When she’s feeling insecure, stare into her eyes and tell her there is no-one in the world who could be as right for you as she is.

20. Call her just before you get on the plane.

21. Pick her clothes up off the floor.

22. Try desperately to make her laugh when she’s feeling down.

23. Take her to see your favourite sport live. Pay more attention to her than to the game.

24. Touch her arm when you leave the table to go to the bathroom. Touch her again when you come back.

25. Shave just before you see her. She’ll notice.

26. Hug her when she gets jealous. Hug her hard.

27. Worship her breasts.

28. Give her jewellery.

29. Hand her two towels when she gets out of the shower. (The second one is for her hair.)

30. Ask her specific questions about her work.

31. Keep her favourite cereal on hand.

32. In the middle of a conversation, tell her you love her.

33. Send her very expensive flowers when you screw up.

34. Take her to a cabin with a fireplace. Build her a fire.

35. Moan her name when she goes down on you.

36. Read her a story when it’s her turn to drive during a long road trip.

37. Offer to fix something at her place that you realise is broken.

38. Notice when she’s wearing something new.

39. Make love to her standing up, against a wall.

40. Kiss her hand in front of your most die-hard bachelor buddies.

41. If she’s too stressed to want sex…
a. Run a bath for her.
b. Give her a full-body massage.
c. Ask if she wants to wrestle.

so what do you think? which one(s) do you like?

tv crazy

Posted by: Sai on: October 14, 2008

for the past week or so there have been a lot of season and series premieres. i’m happy of course bcoz i’ve waited for so long to find out what’s gonna happen to my fave shows. so here’s what i have to say…

Ugly Betty: somehow i had the feeling that she won’t pick anyone. i’d say, wise choice, and now she should try her luck with the rocker :) hehehe… the premiere itself wasn’t that exciting for me but i’m sure that it’ll pick up.

Chuck: i’ve always liked Chuck but this season is just not as funny as the previous one. maybe it needs more Morgan. maybe he and Sarah should finally hook up for real. i still enjoy watching it tho.

Heroes: hmmm… this one is hard to follow. my bro-in-law said he just started to watch it and i hope he won’t be too confused coz i would be if i were him. this is one of those shows where you have to follow or you’ll be totally lost just by missing one episode. there’s so much going on in so many different places and times but they’re all connected like a pretzel.

CSI Vegas: now THIS is the show i’ve been waiting for. it was highly anticipated and it didn’t disappoint. i would have to say it was one of the best season openers i have ever seen. i hope it carries through till the end of the season, even with Grissom leaving. i must admit i was emotional from beginning to end. i wonder how they’ll introduce Larry Fishburne.

Bones: i just started watching this series. it’s based on Kathy Reichs’ books and i actually read a couple of those. i didn’t quite like the book but the tv series is more interesting.

happy watching!

wax on, wax off

Posted by: Sai on: October 9, 2008

a few days ago I watched America’s Funniest Videos and they had a segment on men getting their chest hairs waxed. as you all know, this was popularized by the movie. it’s amazing how some guys try to see if they can endure the pain to earn a few bucks. this has gotten way too old already. the videos weren’t even funny… more like stupid. it’ll make an esthetician cringe.

thank goodnes it’s Thursday. can’t wait to get home and watch the premiere of CSI.

Sara’s back!

It’s driving me nuts… 23 more days till the new season of CSI.  I can’t wait!!!!!!

sailor senshi fever

Posted by: Sai on: September 3, 2008

it’s been a long while since my last post. I was tired after the San Antonio conference although I must say it went really well… better than the last time. then of course there’s that catching up thing after being gone for about a week. I feel burnt out. so what do I do?

I watched Sailor Moon. yes… I happen to like cartoons (the older ones anyway) and I like Sailor Moon. I watched all 200 episodes of them. I like Usagi most of all – she’s whiny, crybaby, lazy, naive but you just gotta love her. She makes me laugh and cry. it’s funny, now that I think about it. Sailor Moon is like soap opera for kids… it’s full of drama, suspense, betrayal, loss, love, romance, loyalty, oh, and that unrequited love… yup. somehow that notion is still stuck in my head as I’m sure there are people out there who can relate. it’s kinda sad, really, but at the same time inspiring *sigh*

wiped out

Posted by: Sai on: August 6, 2008

so recently hubby and I started watching Wipeout coz it’s just hilarious! but speaking of wipe out, I’ll be in San Antonio on Saturday for about a week.  My work is sponsoring a conference, which means 12-hour work days… talk about wipe out.  and I don’t even get paid extra for that but I will have 2 comp days.  so guess I’ll be MIA for a while.

Gimme some more Grissom

Posted by: Sai on: July 16, 2008

I’ve always loved CSI. heck I even watch the reruns on Spike and I’m sure I’m not the only one. Grissom has always been my favorite character and yes, I think he’s HOT!!! but as with all other good shows things change and people go. I had the shock of my life upon reading this while drinking my morning coffee. all I could think of was “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO”… how is this possible? how can they let this happen??? Grissom IS CSI. No one else can deliver the witty one-liners in the beginning of an episode. No one else can figure things out the way he does. he’s the reason why it’s cool to be a scientist. I feel like my favorite show is starting to fall apart. First it’s Sidle, then Warrick (did anyone see that finale?!?) and now Grissom. CSI will never be the same. Damn you Miniature Killer!!!
